As a Wake County District Court Judge, Rozier has presided over thousands cases. From child support to seat belt infractions to DWI offenses, he has made numerous decisions affecting the citizens of Wake County.  Judge Rozier has spent the majority of his time as a Judge deciding on cases involving family matters such as custody, divorce separation.  He has also presided over numerous cases involving domestic violence.

Judge Rozier is currently an active member of the Wake County Bar Association, where he serves on the Board of Directors and the Ad Hoc Legal Aid Committee.  Rozier is a regular Judge for the Capital Area Teen Court.  He is also a Board member for SafeChild adn the Wake County ReEntry Program.  Additionally, he has received the North Carolina State University Gus Witherspoon Community Award for politics.  Rozier has continued to be a valued member of the community, speaking at numerous churhces and schools.

Judge Rozier is also a former Prosecutor with the Wake County District Attorney's Office prosecuted and tried all types of cases before numerous juries who convicted first degree murderers, armed robbers, drug traffickers, impaired drivers, etc. Judge Rozier also worked on numerous sex offense, domestic violence, and juvenile crime cases.

Prior to his work as a Wake County District Court Judge and Wake County Assistant District Attorney, Judge Vince Rozier, Jr. already had a distinguished educational background. A native of Tar Heel, NC, Judge Rozier graduated as Valedictorian of Tar Heel Middle- Sr. High School in 1994. Receiving numerous awards and scholarships, he moved on to attend UNC-Chapel Hill with the Joseph Pogue, full academic scholarship.

While attending UNC, Rozier participated in a number of activities. From serving as Speaker Pro Tempore of UNC's Student Congress to singing on the Gospel Choir to serving as Vice President of his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Rozier was always involved. He was even voted upon peers as Mr. UNC for Homecoming in 1997.

After graduating from UNC, Judge Rozier attended North Carolina Central University's School Of Law. There he participated on the Trial Advocacy team and various other organizations, such as Christian Legal Society. Rozier was a member of the Family Law, Civil, and Criminal Litigations Clinics. He also served as a Student Teacher with Street Law Program in Durham.

On February 9th, 2006, Governor Michael Easley appointed Vince Rozier to replace the seat vacated by the resignation of District Court Judge Alice Stubbs.

In 2002, Judge Rozier married Attorney Dekhasta Becton Rozier of Raleigh, NC. She also attended UNC-Chapel Hill, where she received her Juris Doctorate and B.A. in Political Science. He and his wife currently attend Baptist Grove Church in Raleigh, NC. Rozier has continued to be a valued member of the community, speaking at numerous Churches and schools.
